It's A Girl-Boy Party!

I love Lynnderella Boy-Girl Party so much that when the twinset with Girl-Boy party was release, I had to have it.  For this look I used Lynnderella Girl-Boy Party, Sinful Colors Get It On, and Elevation Polish River Rock.

Ten Little Ladybugs

I was on the phone with my grandmother and she told me about these nail art brushes she saw online that could be used to create ladybugs.  My grandmother calls me Ladybug and we buy little ladybug things for each other.  I decided to create this mani for her.

Before we get to the mani though, this is a picture of my Grandmommy.  I simply adore her and she is one of my best friends.  I took this picture inside the smallest church in the lower 48 states.

The Elements

I'm so excited to guest post for my good friend Mal of Enchanted Nails and Fluffy Dog Tails.  I wanted to do a mani inspired by her.  What I've come up with is a mani representing the five elements.

A couple weeks ago, I did a guest post for Julie from Wishes of a Blue-Eyed Girl.  I've decided to share it with you guys too!

So what I have for you today is a set of dupes...or not?  You'll find out!  The polishes I have are from Priti NYC and Orly.

P&P's FFNA Challenge: Other Realm

Other Realm was a rather tricky theme.  My first thought was to do crystal balls.  But then, I decided not to.  Keep reading if you want to see what I did!

Orangey

A couple weeks ago I did a mani with Elevation Polish The Arches II and Ludurana Majestade.  The Arches II is a beautiful burnt orange creme.  I used Majestade as a top coat.

P&P's FFNA Challenge: Sweet Treats

I forgot to post this one on time!  Sorry guys!

This challenge is sweet treats.  I thought for a long time about this one.  I wanted to do candy corn but I didn't want to do the normal candy corn nails.  Keep reading to see what I did!

Pahlish Anticipating and Pacing

Pahlish Anticipating and Pacing is from her Coney Island Queen collection.  It's a red creme with blue glitters.

I used three coats for full opacity.

I really love this polish.  She was able to combine red and blue without screaming America.

I love how Pahlish takes a lot of inspiration from music. Check out the song behind this one.

And one last look.

What song do you envision inspiring a polish?

Purple Manis for Jaycie

Along with my best friend Sarah, I run a FaceBook group for East Coast polish lovers.  One of our lovely ladies has had a rough time lately.  Her young daughter had a scooter accident and has been in the hospital over a week, mostly in ICU.  We wanted to show our support for Sharon's daughter and thus, #ManisforJaycie was born.

We all used purple.  I went with Pahlish Pink Roses and Red Valentine Lace, A Rhyming Dictionary Magic Muffins, and Rainbow Honey Dusty Bot.

OPI And A Glitter Accent

I had no idea what to put on my nails so I sent my husband into the void.  He came back with OPI Cuckoo For This Color and OPI Bring On The Bling.  I showed him options for possible manis and what he settled on is what you'll see!

Today is Columbus Day and I decided to do nail art based on his exploration.  This day celebrates Columbus' arrival in the Americas.

I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blue-Away, OPI Over the Taupe, Essense Color & Go Walk on Air, and Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

Falling For Holos

Today I have a tape mani done with holos!  The inspiration behind this mani is my outfit; khaki pants, and a purple shirt.

HTTR Glitter Gradient

Recently at work, we had a day where we all wore the colors of our favorite sports teams.  I chose the Washington Redskins.  The colors I chose were Zoya Maria Luisa and OPI A Man in Every Port-ugal.

Sweater weather!  Today's theme is the one that actually convinced me to participate in this challenge.  My vision of this challenge was completely different than what I ended up doing.

What I'm Loving This Week

Today starts my new feature where I show you what I'm loving this week.  Without further adu, here we go!

Brit Nails shows us two polishes from Barry M's new collection.  I fell in love with Barry M when they released their Gelly Shine polishes and I so wish they sold them in the US!

Polish This does a rainbow mani with a really cool splatter effect!  She used the water spotted technique instead of the straw splatter.  I love how bright and fun these are!

My Nail Polish Obsession features an amazing polish from Stargazer, a British brand.  It has a beautiful duohrome effect to it!

A Girl And Her Polish has the Zoya Holiday collection!  I love how she shows us the polishes paired together.  Payton is my favorite, what's yours?

Confessions of a Sarcastic Mom tells us all about the new Julie G Gumdrop collection.  I also won her last giveaway!  Check it out!

The Polish Hideout shows us the OPI Pink of Hearts duo for this year.  I have purchased it and am giving it to a friend.  I love how it looks but I hate it on me.  Check out what she has to say!

A Little Polish showcases her abstract floral nail art.  I love the colors she chose and how this looks on her nails.

Adventures in Acetone created a textured color block nail art tutorial!  I love this use for textures!

Set in Lacquer has Joss polish to show us.  I haven't seen these and she makes me want them all!

Lucy's Stash has an amazing tape main for us.  I'm so in love with it!

What are you loving this week?

Ninja Polish Ambrosia

I really didn't think I needed this polish when it came out.  It's a red with gold shimmer.  Now, I love a good red with cold shimmer but I deemed this too pink and dismissed it.  Then I saw my friend Sarah wear it; I ordered a bottle for myself the same day.

P&P's FFNA Challenge: Bobbing for Apples

Today's challenge is bobbing for apples.  I was nervous about this challenge because I've never considered myself good at nail art.  But I can't get over how amazing this turned out.

For my apples, I used all OPI colors; A Oui Bit of Red, Fiercely Fiona, Who the Shrek Are You?, and St. Petersburgundy.  My goal was to create apples in four different colors.

I cannot get over how amazing this is!

For the leaves and the stems, I used OPI Green-Wich Village and Sally Hansen Haute Chocolate.

I left my nails bare and painted on the apples.  I used a dotting tool for the stems and leaves.

This is by far my most favorite thing I have ever done to my nails.  What's yours?

Julep Tatiana

Tatiana was part of Julep's September Boho Glam Maven box.  I get the It Girl box, but selected this as an add-on.  I am a sucker for orange polishes so this was right up my alley.

OPI Midnight in Moscow

Midnight in Moscow is a perfect vampy color for Fall from the OPI Russian collection.  This is my first vamp of the season!

P&P's FFNA Challenge: Crunchy Leaves

Crunchy leaves!  I love the colors the leaves change to in the Fall.  I remember collecting them from the ground when I was a kid.  I would take them to my mother and she would press them between waxed paper and iron it.  That was I could keep my leaves.

P&P's FFNA Challenge: Early Sunsets

I know I'm several days late for the 9/25 challenge but I have been very ill.  I was able to get to the doctor yesterday and with the medicine, I was able to complete the challenge today.

OPI DS Lapis

My friend Amy was fabulous and picked up the two new OPI DS polishes for me.  Today I am showing you Lapis.

In the bottle Lapis looks blue and silver and I wasn't quite sure what to expect.

This is truly a one coat polish.  And it's matte!  And a texture!  This is seriously one coat guys.

I decided I wanted to top coat it and started with a coat of Gelous.

Then I added another coat of Gelous and a coat of Seche Vite.  This polish truly gorgeous.  It sparkles!

The blue is so much more predominant than the silver.  This is a DS polish that makes me happy.  It reminds me of the old DS polishes that were actually GOOD and people wanted them.  If you don't have this, you need to find it.
